75% Load == 100% Crazy
I'm taking a 3/4 course load this term... does that make me a 100% crazy? I swore I wouldn't to more than a half time load again, but... sigh.

So far it hasn't been as bad as I expected, though. Must be the new job makes it a little more doable.

Even so, I still probably won't finish 'til 09.

What's New?: Job Change
What's New Looks like a job change is coming after the new year. It was a hard decision to make, but I am looking forward to the change and the exciting opportunities that will come with it. Details after the new year.

What's New?: A pair of pyrs!
What's New
I never could go very long without dogs around the house. I adopted a pair of Great Pyrenees (mixes) from the Florida Great Pyrenees Club. The club rescues dozens of dogs every year from kill shelters throughout the south eastern US and is always in need of foster homes or permanent homes for abandoned pyrs. If you or someone you know is thinking about adopting a big dog or even just making a donation, visit http://www.floridapyrs.org/DogsAvailable.htm.

The club often has puppies, family dogs, or working (herding) dogs available.

What's New?: Moving
What's New The big move started today. There's still some remodeling to be completed over the next two months, but the majority of items are moving in this weekend, and the final items next weekend. Whee! I have a house, a pool, an acre of land, and my own mad scientist lab. I wish I could share it with my dogs, though. :(

What's New?: Bye-Bye Grob, Hello DG-300
What's New
Well, it was painful but I sold my G-102 to a fellow pilot in Clermont, and upgraded to a new DG-300 Elan. I've made some upgrades (all new Cambridge Avionics), and have a few more in mind (gear warning indicator, winglets, and maybe more depending on the budget. I've got my eye on setting some altitude, distance, and speed records for Florida this spring.

Just like my Grob, I could not find a DG-300 polar for WinPilot, so i made my own. Feel free to download the polar here: DG-300.plr. This is not an official polar, use at your own risk (i.e. don't blame me if you fly into a mountain or land out in a swamp.)

Kind of Quiet
What's New Things will be kind of quiet for awhile. I lost my best friends: Leo, one of the sweetest dogs I've ever had Siouxie, one of the most loyal good-hearted dogs ever.

Don't you hate it when you walk into a room and say a friend's name, and then realize they are not around to hear it ever again? :( The house is so emtpy I can hardly stand it. I want my friends back.

What's New?: Wave Rider
What's New
Nothing like taking a break from it all spending a weekend at Discovery Cove diving a coral reef, floating around in the water, and swimming with the dolphins. This huge 700 pound fellow is named Capricorn.

What's New?: Twice the fun
What's New Twice the fun! I traded up from a single surface Falcon 2 170 and now am flying a dual surface Sport 2 135. She's a feisty little thing, but I'm getting used to her. You won't catch me giving up flying my sailplane, though!

Archived Highlights: Back to school
What's New
HarvardIt's back to school time for me. I'm working on a Master's of Liberal Arts in Information Technology with a concentration in Software Engineering from Harvard.

This should keep me busy, since I'm still a working full-time engineer. Whee!

U.K. Gallery
What's New
I've added a photo gallery with the "best of" pics for my April '06 trip to the U.K. Check it out! It was a wonderful trip. I fell in love with England, from the Cotswolds countryside to the hills of the Lake District, and the bustle of London. I plan to go back as often as I can.
