Coolest Coffee Maker

Vacuum Brewer
Vacuum Brewer

I’m not a big coffee fan… generally it all tastes like burned beans to me… that said, there is one type of coffee I really enjoy the taste of… Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, but not brewed just any old way… brewed with a Cona Coffee Vacuum brewer (just like they do at Victoria and Albert’s at Disney), yum yum. I have GOT to get me one of these things from this store.

Tasty coffee, and open flame. Physics in action! What’s not to love?

75% Load == 100% Crazy

I’m taking a 3/4 course load this term… does that make me a 100% crazy? I swore I wouldn’t to more than a half time load again, but… sigh.

So far it hasn’t been as bad as I expected, though. Must be the new job makes it a little more doable.

Even so, I still probably won’t finish un’til 2010.

A pair of pyrs

Saki
I never could go very long without dogs around the house. I adopted a pair of Great Pyrenees (mixes) from the Florida Great Pyrenees Club. The club rescues dozens of dogs every year from kill shelters throughout the south eastern US and is always in need of foster homes or permanent homes for abandoned pyrs. If you or someone you know is thinking about adopting a big dog or even just making a donation, visit http://www.floridapyrs.org/index.php/Dogs-Available/.

The club often has puppies, family dogs, or working (herding) dogs available.

Job Change

Looks like a job change is coming after the new year. It was a hard decision to make, but I am looking forward to the change and the exciting opportunities that will come with it. Details after the new year.

Moving

The big move started today. There’s still some remodeling to be completed over the next two months, but the majority of items are moving in this weekend, and the final items next weekend. Whee! I have a house, a pool, an acre of land, and my own mad scientist lab. I wish I could share it with my dogs, though. They both died jst before closing and never got to see the yard we bought for them:(
